Up to 100,000 civilians have left their homes in South Waziristan, where the Pakistani army is fighting the Taliban and al-Qaeda.
Pakistan's government says its latest military offensive is targeting key Taliban leaders and will deliver a "decisive blow" to Islamic extremists inside the country.
But there is growing concern that not enough help is available to those who have fled the fighting.
