I admire that remarkable young woman who is fighting for justice for her murdered family. I served in Bosnia, and saw something of the horrors that were perpetrated in the Balkans. I don't know of any soldier who remained unmoved by his or her experiences in that part of the world. It was to help people like Saranda that we felt we were there, and although we felt hamstrung by the politicians I feel that on some small scale we did some good. I would like to pass on a message of condolence and support to her for Saranda.
Chris Hale, UK

With our country's increasing negativity towards asylum seekers, it is refreshing to see a broadcast highlighting the story of the true atrocities that some people have suffered before they have made it safely here

Ekrem Mahmutaj and Catherine Harding, England
I watched tonight's programme with amazement and total admiration for the incredibly courageous 18-year-old girl. She had wisdom beyond her young years and even having experienced such an atrocity she still appears to have a zest for life. I hope for her sake that the totally evil perpratrator is locked away for the rest of his life. Thank you once again for a superbly produced programme.
Mrs Rachel Cann, England

I just watched you programme about those incredibly brave children from Kosovo who have had to endure so much. I have to say that Saranda Bogujevci is one of the most courageous people I have heard about. Well done for highlighting their amazing story. My heart goes out to them all and may they get justice.
Katie, UK

I have rarely seen such a display of courage and dignity as that demonstrated by Saranda Bogujevci - as shown in your programme tonight. She stands tall amongst heroes such as Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela and her name will stay with me forever. Please pass on my love to Saranda and her family.
Alan, Devon, England

It's rare that I am moved to tears by a TV programme, but I certainly was watching the last in your series, about Saranda and her family

Sarah Warren, UK
We would like to congratulate the makers of this programme. With our country's increasing negativity towards asylum seekers it is refreshing to see a broadcast highlighting the story of the true atrocities that some people have suffered before they have made it safely here. The programme was filmed sensitively and we would appreciate it if you could pass our sympathies to these brave young people.
Ekrem Mahmutaj and Catherine Harding, England

I was very moved at the courage of Saranada and her family. I hope the power of the killers in Serbia is challenged by the law. The wounds of such a terrible conflict will take many years to heal but these children have had the bravery to set in motion the process which may eventually lead to some kind of recognition of the hurt done.
Jo Summers, England

Don't forget that hundreds of Serbs have been murdered. This still goes on today and is a disgrace. Don't forget all those forensic teams who were sent in after the conflict to examine the mass graves and struggled to find any.
Arthur Barker, UK

It is a lot harder to argue that people are faceless "illegals" when you see their geniune struggles, hardships and raw courage

Tim Bird, UK
To Saranda Bogujevci and all her family:
I have just watched your story this evening and wanted to write and say how much I admire your courage, strength and determination. I cannot possibly imagine what you must have been through but to come out of that atrocity and still be able to smile is wonderful. I wish you all the best and hope you and your family have long, prosperous and happy lives.
Peter Sbert, UK

I have just watched the programme on that brave young girl from Kosovo. I know I am just one voice but I felt that I needed to say this. I think that both her and the remaining members of her family are so brave to go through all they have been through, feeling so strongly to make sure that the people who did this should be put away. I feel that they should be helped in every way possible to overcome such a horrific incident. It is such a shame that those young people should have been subjected to such an awful act.
Melissa, UK

It's rare that I am moved to tears by a TV programme, but I certainly was watching the last in your series, about Saranda and her family, survivors of a massacre in Kosovo. Thank you for your sensitive reporting, and for allowing their young voices to be heard.
Sarah Warren, UK

I am stunned by the courage of the children in tonight's programme - a humbling lesson to us all. I wish them all the very best for their futures.
Christine McGinn, UK

I never write in about programmes but this one deserves comment. I fear at the moment the UK is slipping more and more towards extremism, with the tabloids filled with poorly researched anti-immigrant ranting and diatribe. Recently, I have even found myself agreeing with the sentiment, particularly in the current economic climate. As a consequence we need to see more of this type of broadcasting. It is a lot harder to argue that people are faceless "illegals" when you see their geniune struggles, hardships and raw courage. Saranda deserves enormous support for standing up for truth when most people would have just kept their heads down. This programme shows our licence fee is still being well spent.
Tim Bird, UK
