The Friends of Oxfordshire Respite Centres: A group of parents and carers who are campaigning to preserve and develop support services for disabled children and their families in Oxfordshire. They have an online petition against cuts in the Oxfordshire Social Services budget.

MENCAP: A national organisation providing information for families caring for children with learning disabilities and campaigning for the rights of people with learning disabilities.

Carers Online: The online carers national organisation - it offers advice, information and contacts for carers. The organisation also runs campaigns and projects.

Contact a Family: The only UK charity providing support and advice to parents whatever the medical condition of their child.

Helen House: The first children's hospice in the world. Any family in need may apply for the special care that Helen House can provide. The hospice shares the care of their child with families, and offers support.
