Barbara Arrowsmith Young couldn't tell the time when she was in her early twenties. When she was growing up in the 1950's learning disabilities were barely understood. But, inspired by a Soviet scientist, she says she managed to train her brain to overcome her disabilities and she has since helped thousands of others do the same. She described her experiences to Zeinab Badawi.
