What's more amazing is that she plans to share it with her bingo pal Agnes O'Neill, because they always share their winnings. Olympic Diver Beijing hopeful and BBC's Young Sports Personality of the Year, Tom Daley won gold in the 10m platform dive at the European Championships in Eindhoven. Eurobeat 'Eurobeat - Almost Eurovision', the Award-winning musical celebration of everything Eurovision, will begin a National tour in April prior to London's West End. The show will feature a number TV stars in the pivotal roles of presenters, Boyka and Sergei, including Mel Giedroyc and Gareth Hale.
Tuesday 25th March Bevin Boys The Bevin Boys who worked in the mines during and following World War two played a key role in keeping the home fires burning. Today they'll be recognised at Number 10 Downing Street where they'll receive a special commemorative badge. Kids Parties The costs involved in putting on children's' birthday parties are rocketing. Athletica nervosa The laddish culture promoted by men's magazines has spawned a new medical condition: athletica nervosa, or an obsession with exercise. The condition is already known to affect young women, but research by Winchester University is thought to be the first British study to link the phenomenon to men. Wednesday 12 March Second storm Northern Ireland, north Wales and north-west England are being pounded by gales and heavy rain in the second band of storms to hit the UK in three days. Tuesday 11 March Citizenship School-leavers are to be encouraged to swear an oath of allegiance to the Queen under new government proposals being unveiled on British citizenship. BBC World Service Arabic channel The BBC is set to begin broadcasts on its new Arabic language TV channel. The channel will be free to everyone in North Africa and the Middle East with a satellite or cable connection. The Poles Are Coming! This documentary forms part of BBC TWO's White season and explores the biggest migration to Britain in centuries - the million or so Eastern Europeans who have recently come here.
