Anne-Marie Duff was nominated for best actress for The Virgin Queen, BBC One's dramatisation of the life of Elizabeth I. Doctor Who was not nominated - but new assistant Freema Agyeman was on hand to present an award. Newsreader Moira Stuart took part in nominated family history programme Who Do You Think You Are? Gordon Ramsay, who attended with his wife Tana, was nominated for best feature. TV presenter Ruby Wax turned up on crutches.
