Condor says it is open to discussions about pricing |
Jersey's competition watchdogs are considering a complaint against Condor Ferries from a local politician. Deputy Sean Power has reported the firm to the competition authority after complaints from the public. He said Condor had doubled its fares since its competitor HD Ferries left the Channel Islands last year. Condor said that was misleading and it had always had an open dialogue with Channel Island authorities about its service, including pricing. HD called a halt to its 2008 sailings in September, blaming the high cost of diesel fuel as well as the economic downturn.
