School is disinfected after virus
A Jersey primary school is being disinfected over the weekend after more than 100 pupils and staff were struck down with a winter vomiting bug.

The sickness, believed to be the Norwalk virus, has so far affected 10 teachers and staff at D'Auvergne Primary School and 115 pupils.

The winter vomiting virus causes unpleasant but non-fatal infections that last only a few days.

Education has warned all headteachers about the highly contagious virus.
