Jersey Waterfront
Permission for 100 apartments was part of the Les Pas settlement
A Jersey politician is calling for legal advice surrounding a land deal on island's Waterfront to be published.

Senator Dick Shenton wants all the information surrounding the Les Pas Holdings Deal to be made available.

In the deal the States gave away land on the Waterfront worth about 10m to the company.

Senator Frank Walker said he was satisfied the matter had been debated in full as States members had accepted the agreement.

He also said the transcripts of the in camera debate were published and available to the public.

Les Pas Holdings got a 10m piece of the Waterfront after claiming ownership of a reclaimed area for several years.

The States also had to fork out 1.5m to pay legal costs in 2003 when it settled the row with Les Pas.
