Shellfish farmers consider boat
Ferry
The Solidor 5 is out of action until February at the earliest
Shellfish farmers in Jersey are considering hiring a private charter boat to ship their produce to France.

It comes as Emeraude Ferries have said they can not expect to restart a service to St Malo until February at the earliest.

Emeraude stopped taking bookings in December while the Solidor 5 ferry undergoes emergency repairs.

But shellfish farmers seeking a regular and reliable alternative are considering hiring their own boat.
