Code of conduct for new ministers
Politicians in Jersey's new ministerial government will have to abide by a code of conduct.

The Council of Ministers is deciding whether to build on an existing code of conduct for States members.

The council is also to consider how politicians can effectively communicate with the public and the media under the new governmental system.

Members are also to work on a new Strategic Plan, which well be a blueprint for the island's future.

The council has a legal obligation to finish the plan within the next four months.

However, as the States agreed a Strategic Plan about six months ago, much of the groundwork has already been done.
