Parish sports centre under threat
A Jersey sport and recreation centre may have to close if more volunteers do not come forward.

St John Constable Richard Dupre said more people were needed to run the parish's sports centre, plus the youth and football club.

Many parishioners said they were too busy to offer any time to help the parish, which was making things more difficult for the community.

The parish is also currently looking for a fourth centenier.

A number of parishes have been experiencing problems recruiting centenier volunteers for the Honorary Police Service.

St John was recently fined 5,000 for not finding enough people to take on the role.
