| Employment and housing licences for migrant workers in Jersey are to be handled in future by just one office. The new Population Office will also compile a complete register of how many people there are on the island. Jersey-born accountant Paul Bradbury has been appointed as its director and will set up the population register. Politicians hope as a result businesses will be able to plan for the future with more confidence by using some of the data the office compiles.
