A new date has been set for Jersey's Employment Law to come into force. Changes to the minimum wage and guaranteed paid holiday entitlement should now become law on 1 July.
It was originally expected to be introduced on Friday but was delayed because a States debate about its "sister" law was postponed.
Members have voted to delay debating the Employment Relations Law, which will govern the relationship between employers, employees and unions.
Senator Paul Routier says he hopes it will not cause inconvenience for staff or bosses.
