Residents will be asked for comments on buses, cars, taxis, roads and parking.

The government body responsible has admitted that there have been setbacks in giving the public the transport services they need.

In its annual report, the Public Services Committee admitted it had been frustrated in its efforts to improve the bus service in particular.

An official inquiry into how the current operator Connex was awarded the bus contract had what the committee called a "significant effect" on its ability to move forward.

However, it said there were improvements that could be made, such as a shopper service around St Helier or a through service from Gorey to the airport.
