More than 1,000 people use the clinic's services every year |
A clinic in Jersey which advises young people about sexual health and pregnancy issues will provide ultrasound scans in the future. The Brook Advisory Clinic is buying a scanner with a 2,500 grant from the Barclays Bank Community Awards.
Anyone in the early stages of pregnancy is currently referred by the clinic to hospital for a scan.
The centre has been trying to raise money for its own scanner for the past six years.
Manager Bronia Lever said it will make a real difference to the people who use the service.
About 1,200 people use the Jersey clinic's services every year.
