Disappointment over voter numbers
Some Jersey politicians have expressed disappointment that more people have not registered to vote in this year's deputies and senators elections.

The deadline for registration is noon on Monday.

An island-wide campaign, at a cost of 35,000, was run to convince more people to register.

Deputy Roy Le Herissier, the President of the Privileges and Procedures Committee says he had hoped more people would have signed up.

The 2005 senatorial election will be on 19 October and the election for deputies will be on 23 November.
