Passenger plane gets stuck in mud
A passenger plane became stuck in mud at the end of the runway at Guernsey Airport, forcing the airport's temporary closure.

No one was hurt in the incident, which involved an Aurigny passenger flight from Stansted, via Jersey, on Tuesday.

The plane landed safely at 4.15pm, but when the pilot tried to turn it, the wheel sank into a patch of mud.

While fire crews helped free the craft, no other planes were allowed to land since fire cover was not available.

Some flights were delayed or diverted to Jersey as a result. The airport was re-opened within an hour.
