Increased dumping at beauty spots
Jersey's countryside managers are concerned about an increase in rubbish dumped at beauty spots.

Countryside manager John Pinel said rubble and fridges were among recently found items, including a lorry-load of rubble which was left at Kemp Tower.

Now island authorities have put up signs warning against fly-tipping at several sites, including sand dunes at St Ouen and the headland at Noirmont.

People are also being reminded to make use of official dump sites.

Householders are urged to take items such as fridges to Bellozanne, and garden waste to the depot at La Collette where they can be disposed of free of charge.

People are also being asked if they see anything being dumped to take any vehicle registration details and pass them onto either the police or the Environment Department.
