Shop traders have expressed divided opinions over plans to ban traffic from a street in St Helier in Jersey. If the proposals are approved, cars will not be able to go along York Street between 1000 and 1800 each day.
As well as partially pedestrianising York Street between The Parade and Charing Cross, the road will become one-way and pavements made wider.
Some traders think it will bring more shoppers down from King Street, while others fear a loss of trade.
If the changes, which could cost in the region of �250,000, are supported, they might be in place by the end of the year.
