Reform for Jersey's tax system
States of Jersey
The proposals have been developed by P&R
The tax system in Jersey is to be reformed according to plans for the island's future.

The strategic plan sets out how the island will change in the next five years.

The proposals have been developed by the Policy and Resources Committee with the support of States members and most committee presidents.

The committee says that by 2010 Jersey should be a place with a prosperous economy and pleasant environment.

The committee has set out a list of things that need to be done and set a time frame for the relevant committees to do it.

It says that between next year and 2008, the tax system should be reformed, to make sure the island is still a competitive low-tax environment.
