Appeals have been made for more people to help forge links between a Jersey parish and a French town. It is hoped the parish of St Brelade will be formally twinned with Granville in Normandy later this year.
A twinning committee has been set up, involving Constable Max de la Haye and deputies Sarah Ferguson and Peter Troy.
They are calling for more people to join the Twinning Association. Formal links are hoped to be completed later this year.
At a parish assembly in May, people in St Brelade voted to select Granville as a twinning partner.
The French town's links with the island go back a long way, particularly with its ferry services.
Anyone wanting to get involved in the Twinning Association is asked to contact St Brelade parish hall.
