Jersey by-election deadline looms
Ballot box
The election will be held on 24 March
People who want to stand for senator in the forthcoming by-election in Jersey have until noon on Monday to register.

There is to be an election following the resignation of former Senator Christopher Lakeman who said it was impossible to balance his States and career workloads.

Two candidates have so far come forward - St Mary parish secretary Juliette Gallichan and former Senator Dick Shenton.

The election will be held on 24 March.

There will be a nomination meeting at the Town Hall on Tuesday evening.
