Extra chance to quiz candidates
Ballot box
The election will be held on 24 March
There is to be an extra hustings meeting in Jersey on Wednesday evening for the forthcoming senatorial by-election.

All six candidates will attend the meeting at St Thomas' Centre.

The candidates are a third of the way through visiting each parish ahead of the election.

Robert Brown, Terry Coutanche, Juliette Gallichan, Kevin Lewis, Dick Shenton and Robert Weston are standing in the election on 24 March.

The meeting has been called to give parishioners more chance to question the candidates.

Senator Ted Vibert will chair the meeting and the candidates will not be restricted on how long they can spend answering questions.

The election has come about following the resignation of former Senator Christopher Lakeman.

He said it was impossible to balance his States and career workloads.
