TT victims 'in restricted area'
Isle of Man TT race - generic
The Isle of Man TT races began in 1907
Two spectators who died when they were hit by a motorbike during the Isle of Man TT races were in a restricted area, an inquest has heard.

Rider Marc Ramsbotham, 34, and two spectators, Dean Jacob, 33, and Gregory Kenzig, 52, were killed in an accident on the 26th milestone.

Coroner Michael Moyle questioned why there were no signs to warn people that the area was restricted.

The deaths happened on the last day of the event in June 2007.

Mr Ramsbotham, 34, who was from Wymondham, Norfolk, died instantly.

Two hurt

One spectator, Dean Adrian Jacob from Kidderminster, Worcs, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second, Gregory John Kenzig, 52, from Queensland, Australia was taken to Noble's Hospital, but died a short time later. Two other people were injured.

More than 200 people have been killed on the course since the first tourist trophy race in 1907.

The inquest continues.
