Fast ferry back on city schedule
Superseacat Two
Superseacat Two was operating at reduced speed
A fast ferry has resumed its service on the route between Liverpool and the Isle of Man after an engine overhaul.

The Steam Packet Company's Superseacat Two suffered a gearbox failure last year, prompting slower services.

It has undergone maintenance work and is now operating its usual route between Douglas and Pier Head.

The vessel temporarily brought in to take over its services, Sea Express One, was involved in a collision with a cargo ship on the Mersey last month.

Sister ship

An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company will also be operating Emeraude France just before the TT period, as a replacement for the Sea Express One, its sister ship.

Emeraude France will operate on the firm's Irish schedule.

The Steam Packet company operate ferries between the island, Dublin, Liverpool and Heysham, Lancashire.
