Engine work forces ferry changes
Superseacat Two
Sailings on three routes are affected
Some ferry services to and from the Isle of Man have had to be cancelled following a mechanical failure on the high-speed Superseacat Two.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has apologised for delays to journey times, but has said it needs to change some passengers' bookings.

One of the four engines on the ferry has broken, meaning slower trips to Dublin, Belfast and Liverpool.

Some passengers are to be transferred on to sailings to Heysham, Lancashire.

One of the ferry's engines has been sent to Germany for repairs, but it is not known how long work will take.

It means the craft cannot travel at top speed, making crossings about 30 minutes longer than usual.

The timetable has been revised, with some services cancelled.

Passengers affected by the changes should be contacted by the Steam Packet.
