Island ferry services on schedule

The Douglas to Heysham services were due to depart as normal
Ferry crossings between the Isle of Man and England were scheduled to run as normal on Monday after weekend bad weather cancellations.

The Steam Packet company was forced to cancel sailings between Douglas and Heysham, Lancashire, and Liverpool on Sunday because of high winds and rain.

On Monday, the 0845 Douglas to Heysham service - and its return at 1415 - was due to depart on time, the firm said.

There were no scheduled services between Douglas and Liverpool.

Tickets for the cancelled 1900 Liverpool to Douglas service on Sunday are valid for the 1415 Heysham sailing.

Foot passengers were being asked to book in before 1100 GMT at the Liverpool port, where a coach would take them to Heysham.
