Engine problems for ferry service
Sea Express One
Passengers will be transferred from Heysham to Liverpool
A ferry operating on the route between Liverpool and the Isle of Man has been taken out of use after developing engine difficulties.

The SeaCat Sea Express 1, formerly the Seacat Isle of Man, has only recently returned to service after an extensive and thorough overhaul by contractors.

Steam Packet Company engineers hope it will be back in service on Tuesday.

Passengers on the Liverpool sailings will be taken to Heysham with bus transfers available to Liverpool.

Earlier this year, the Sea Express 1 underwent a full overhaul in Birkenhead, Merseyside.
