Beach could become alcohol free

Cobo was littered by drinkers

A popular Guernsey beach could become an alcohol-free zone.

Cobo Bay was littered with drink-related debris following a recent sunny weekend.

Douzenier Dave Chester, who represents the parish of Castel, says the extent of the littering means a solution must be found.

He says a ban would be a last resort and is inviting suggestions from the public for any alternative measures that stop short of a ban.
