Minister opposes new ferry link
Guernsey's Commerce and Employment minister claims there is not enough demand for a second ferry operator in the island.

Condor has had a monopoly on services since French firm Emeraude dropped its services in 2004.

Deputy Stuart Falla said passenger numbers on the island's current ferry services were closely monitored.

He said ferry services to and from the UK throughout the winter often ran at a loss.
