Environmentalists have handed Guernsey's government a petition with more than 4,000 signatures calling for full sewage treatment on the island. It coincides with the end of a public consultation on a green paper, which outlines options for dealing with the island's sewage in future.
Campaign group Surfers Against Sewage organised the petition, which was delivered to the States on Tuesday.
At the moment raw effluent is pumped out to sea at Belle Greve.
