Overspending tops States agenda
Island finances are top of the agenda as Guernsey's States meet for the last time before the summer recess.

The meeting is expected to open with questions from States members about massive overspends on States projects including Beau Sejour leisure centre.

The island's politicians face the prospect of cutting public services in an effort to reduce expenditure.

Treasury minister Lyndon Trott said some savings have been identified, although tax rises are inevitable.
