Island hopes to big up recycling
A drive towards a greener Guernsey has started with the island joining the UK's Big Recycle week.

An island-only freephone number has been set up for people to pledge their support and promise to get involved.

The States' Environment Department, which is supporting the project, has provided the number to promote the island's recycling facilities.

The department also hopes people calling 0800 7351122 will give it an idea of public opinion on recycling.
