New design for waste energy plant
Proposed incinerator
The latest design for the proposed incinerator at Longue Houge
The company behind a proposed waste to energy plant in Guernsey has unveiled a new design for the structure.

Lurgi has used a new architect to modify plans for an incinerator at Longue Houge.

David Porter, a company director says he is confident the new plans will get a better reception than the original and will not increase the cost.

Mr Porter is hoping a decision will be made shortly and is warning any delay could raise costs.

State deputies are due to discuss the issue later this week.

The company says it hopes deputies will take into account the fact that 5m has already been spent on consultancy fees and the firm can start building straight away.
