Tree recycling scheme opens doors
Christmas trees are now being accepted for recycling in Guernsey.

People can take their trees to Burnt Lane until the middle of January, where they will be shredded and used on the island's parks and gardens.

Last year more than 2,500 trees were recycled and the Environment Department hopes to see even more this year to reduce the number taken to Mont Cuet.

It is requested that all the trees are left bare, with no decorations or netting on them.
