 The States own property worth a total of �1.6bn | Guernsey's States departments are being asked to review their portfolio of properties in a drive to save money. The States owns more than 3,000 properties, ranging from office blocks to bunkers made by the Germans during the Occupation. The complete portfolio has an estimated value of more than �1.6bn. Departments are being encouraged to think like private sector landlords, to cut back on unused space and investigate commercial opportunities.
