There has been criticism of an overspend at Beau Sejour |
Guernsey's Public Accounts Committee wants lessons to be learnt when it asks civil servants and politicians about a leisure centre's 2m overspend. The States agreed in 2001 to spend 9m on repairs and improvements to the Beau Sejour Centre.
The final total was closer to 11m, and it was reported last week that some deputies were unaware of this.
The committee will hold a hearing on 26 April to ask civil servants how the extra money was spent.
The committee plans to question the chief officer of the Culture and Leisure Department, Dave Chilton, as well as States Treasurer David Clark.
Public Accounts said it hoped to learn lessons for future building projects from the work at Beau Sejour.
