Queen to attend liberation event
The Queen and the Duke Of Edinburgh will attend a Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Guernsey's liberation.

The royal party will join local dignitaries for the interdenominational service at Beau Sejour on 9 May.

It is one of several events being held throughout the day to mark the island's freedom at the end of World War II.

Seats have been reserved for people who lived through the Occupation, were evacuated, deported, or war veterans.

A small reception will take place immediately afterwards.

Application forms for tickets for the service will be available from Thursday from Beau Sejour, Sir Charles Frossard House, the Greffe, Guille Alles Library and parish Douzaine Rooms.
