Queen to lead Liberation events
The Queen is coming to the Channel Islands to take part in the Liberation Day celebrations on 9 May.

She is understood to have been "very keen" to mark the 60th anniversary of the islands' freedom from occupation.

The Queen last visited Jersey and Guernsey in 2001. She will also be celebrating VE Day, the anniversary of the end of the war in Europe.

Her plans for Liberation Day have not been released yet for security reasons.
