Pay agreement could ease care gap
A new pay deal has been struck which could help to resolve a shortage of psychiatrists in Guernsey.

The go-ahead has been given to advertise for two vacant posts after a deadlock over pay prevented any more being hired.

The breakthrough deal followed a meeting of the British Medical Association and the Public Sector Remuneration Committee.

But an agreement has yet to be reached over consultants already employed.

Another meeting is scheduled for later this week.
