Waste solution on the back burner
It is thought it will be at least three years before a new waste management strategy is implemented in Guernsey.

The States quashed plans for an incinerator earlier this year.

Since then adverts have been sent out to world trade journals to appeal for companies interested in solving the island's waste problem.

Questionnaires will be sent to the respondents to assess their proposals. The decision on this part of the project will be made next year.
