Metal scheme could be permanent
A metal recycling scheme in a Guernsey parish has proved so successful there are hopes that it will become a permanent service.

The Forest Douzaine has been providing free skips for the past four weekends allowing parishioners to dump unwanted metal goods.

Local douzaineer Bob Bartlett says after the success of the scheme he would like to see the project continue.

It was set up to reduce pressure on Guernsey's landfill site.
