Skateboarders offered a new site
Damage at St James forecourt
Pointing on areas of stone has been removed by impact damage
Damage caused by skateboarding to Guernsey's Liberation Monument could end thanks to a new proposal.

The owners of the former B&Q site at Admiral Park have offered it to skateboarders as an alternative.

People have been skateboarding on the seating and stepped area around the monument for some time.

The impact of the boards on the stone work means expensive repairs. They can use the new site from mid morning till 9pm everyday until Easter.
