Airport is closed in bomb scare
Guernsey airport was closed on Friday afternoon after a suspect package was discovered onboard an Aurigny aircraft.

A stewardess found the item at 1500 and the plane was evacuated and bomb disposal officers called in.

Following x-rays the package was found to be harmless and was removed.

During the closure one incoming flight had to be diverted to Jersey.
