Safety group to keep up pressure
A Guernsey pressure group is vowing to continue working towards making life safer for pedestrians in the island.

Stop Traffic Endangering Pedestrian Safety (STEPS) was launched two years ago to coincide with Guernsey's Car Free Day.

Its key aim is to work with relevant groups to highlight pedestrian safety issues in the island.

The group's annual Road Safety Week is used as a platform upon which it can promote its main objectives.

These includes special forums on topics such as travel plans and home zones.

This year the group wants to investigate safe routes to school, as well as try to increase the number of road crossing points and ensure pavements are kept clear.
