Postal service 'getting better'
Guernsey Post has insisted that the service is improving, after figures showed it lost 800,000 between 2002 and 2003.

Managing director Mike Hall said the losses stemmed from increased charges levied on it by Royal Mail.

The company also moved into a new building and bought new equipment.

Mr Hall said the service was meeting most performance targets set by regulators and expected to break even next year.
