Last EU Treaty hurdle 'removed'

European Union leaders meeting in Brussels have agreed on the wording of a deal intended to ensure the adoption of the Lisbon Treaty on EU reform.

The deal would give the Czech Republic, which has yet to sign the treaty, an opt out from the EU's charter of fundamental rights.
