Jersey take surf honours
Pudsey
The event was for Children in Need
Jersey outsurfed Guernsey to take most of the top trophies in the first BBC Channel Island's Surf Classic.

Jersey's Andre Le Geyt came first in the open division with Guernsey's Johnny Wallbridge in second.

In the juniors Bradley Ferguson, also from Jersey, won the under-18 contest, with Jake Warr from Guernsey taking the runner-up spot.

Jersey managed to pick up enough points to also take the team plate.

The one-day contest was staged at Vazon and Portinfer in 1-3ft surf.

The event attracted 50 surfers and was in aid of BBC Children in Need.

A return match is planned in Jersey at St Ouen's Bay next year.
