Fat free milk to be withdrawn
Milk cartons
The dairy produces a variety of different milk
Islanders who drink Jersey's virtually fat free milk will have to find an alternative from the beginning of next week.

The milk, which is packaged in orange cartons, is being withdrawn from production.

Customers were given five days notice about the change.

Virtually fat free milk will not be produced by the dairy after next Tuesday.

Customers 'concerned'

Instead customers are being given UHT long-life milk.

Although UHT milk costs four pence less than the fat free milk it has the same level of fat.

But some customers say they are concerned by the withdrawal of the product.

They say UHT is not of the same quality as the milk they are used to.
